Cikoriesyre er et kaffesyre derivat der bl.a. forekommer i cikorie (deraf navnet), og rød solhat (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench) (Wills and Stuart 2000). Tidligere var det latinske navn for planten: Rudbeckia purpurea.
